Reunion 2000
On September 9th 2000, some 130 past members of Royal Air Force Moreton in Marsh gathered for their third Reunion at The Fire Service Training College, the College now occupies this past RAF Station & continues to bring international recognition to the town. A tradition pioneered, by the Royal Air Force in 1941.

Although down in numbers compared to previous events, it was a fair assembly in consideration the Station closed in 1959.
The Star of the show had to be the 21 ½ foot (21½') model Wellington which flew a number of circuits over the assembled gathering. We were all greatly indebted to the Ghost Squadron for providing us with this exciting and remarkable exhibition.

A further event on the day was the announcement of the Royal Air Force Moreton in Marsh Association. A 'Cotswold Lion' (sheep) was decided upon to grace its badge, this breed was introduced by the Romans who created the Fosseway which passes through the town. Sheep Fleeces also attired out airmen whilst on flying duties.
Three examples were on display during the day, courtesy of Angela Mason's Northleach flock of this rare breed.
